These programs are available during the school year. They include school breaks and afterschool programming options.


 

Cost: Free Age: 12-18 years old

Program Dates: October- May (Saturdays)

Y ACHIEVERS is a national program that helps youth in seventh through twelfth grade discover and pursue higher education and career goals by equipping them with the skills needed to succeed and be community role models. Young people will participate in workforce readiness, college readiness, and life skills sessions to support their pathway to success through bi-weekly programming by grade level.


Cost: Free Age: 10-18 years old

Program Dates: Open Wednesday-Saturday

The Clubhouse After School Program is a free after-school program where members (ages 10-18), with the guidance of Clubhouse staff and volunteer mentors, design, create and invent projects based on their own passions


Cost: Free Grade: 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th

Application Opens: November 1st

MITES is a five and a half year academic enrichment and career exploration program for public school students from Boston, Cambridge, and Lawrence, who have a strong academic record and interest in science and engineering.

 
 

Cost: Sliding Scale Age: 6 and up

JP KIDS ART'S goal is for students to learn with a community of practicing artists who encourage self-expression, foster empathy, and promote collaboration and creative problem-solving.


Grade: Rising 4th-7th (Current 3-6th grade)

BETHEL MATH & SCIENCE SCHOLARS VACATION STEAM PROGRAM is a vacation program, that has a school year component on Saturdays. Recent program topics have included Animation, Aerospace Engineering, Programming, and Electrical Engineering.


Cost: Sliding Scale Age: Pre-K-6th grade

Boston’s Bridge to Excellence features an extended day supplemental educational program for students grades K-6. During after-school programs, students are empowered to explore their curiosity and creativity to uncover their passions, spark innovation, and reach their full potential.


Cost: Free Age: 1st-12th grade

Program Dates: Afterschool and Sports Academy

The Base is an urban academy that uses the power of sports to engage youth in a positive, success-driven culture. They provide high-quality sports training and competition, along with programs for college access, career development, health and wellness, and STEM learning.


Cost: $150 Age: 6-16 y/o

No Books No Ball has given kids the opportunity to learn the game of basketball along with important life lessons on sportsmanship and academic achievement. For thirty-two years, NBNB has been committed to increasing the high school graduation rate of children from some of Boston’s toughest and most underserved neighborhoods.
